Ukraine wins 6th Pandanet Go European Team Championship

Ukrainian team won the exciting last round match against Russia 3-1 and with the score 2 wins, 1 draw, Ukraine is the new European Team Champion. Russia was the second with two wins and one loss, France was the third and Romania the fourth.

Team Championship Finals in St. Petersburg

The four top countries in the 6th Pandanet Go European Team Championship 2015-2016 are Russia, Ukraine, Romania and France. Now the final showdown starts, with the decisive 3 rounds to be played in St. Petersburg on 22nd and 23rd July 2016.

European Team Championship League Continues in 2016

The 6th Pandanet Go European Team Championship enters the new year and the season continues in the first week of the year already.

League B Round 5 Matches 5th January

Israel vs. Switzerland
Austria vs. Hungary
Denmark vs. Poland
Norway vs. United Kingdom
Turkey vs. Italy
Belgium vs. Slovakia

League C Round 5 will be played on the Tuesday 12th January.

League A Round 4 will take place 19th January.

Revision of the 6th PGETC rating on European Go Database

Based on the EGF Executive Board decision, the Pandanet Go European Championship will go back to the previous policy of rating the PGETC games. The games are rated C Class (weight factor 0.5) and individual team members have the possibility to not have their games rated. However, as the tournament is already running, this opting out should be informed through team captains to the league managers by Monday 28 September.

The earlier announcement of D Class rating has been withdrawn.

The 6th Pandanet Go European Team Championship Starts

This Tuesday September 15th 2015 is already the first round of the 6th Pandanet Go European Team Championship, season 2015-2016. The European Team Championship has 34 countries participating, League A with 10 teams, League B and C with 12 teams.

Final Results of the 5th Pandanet Go European Team Go Championship

The Finals ended in an extremely close match-off, when France and Ukraine cleared the last round with 3-1 results each. For the final placement, the first (match points), the second (board points) and the third (mutual match) were equal between these two. The fourth tie-breaker – the closing position in the league after nine rounds, favoured France (2nd) and Ukraine (4th) was to be satisfied with the runner up position.

2015 European Team Championship Finals in Liberec

This week will see the 5th Pandanet Go Team European Championship finals in Liberec, Czech Republic. The PGETC finals, with the top four teams Czechia, France, Romania and Ukraine, will be held in the beginning of the 59th European Go Congress on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th July 2015.
