The 16th PGETC almost finished, live Finals of A-league will be played in Ankara

The online 16th season of Pandanet European Team Championship, consisting of 4 leagues A, B, C, D, is finished. The best 4 teams of A-league will play the Finals during the European Go Congress in Ankara on 3-4 August 2026.
The online part was won by Czechia (the captain Lukas Podpera scored 8-1 on the board 1) followed by Ukraine, France and Germany. Last year´s champion Poland surprisingly finished 5th and can not defend the title.

Up and down moves between leagues: Italy is replaced by The Netherlands in A league
Austria and Switzerland leave B-league and are replaced by Serbia and Slovakia
Norway and Portugal leave C-league, Greece and Kazakhstan will replace them.

16th Pandanet Go European Team Championship starting on October 14, 2025

Already 16th season of great team matches is starting. We have again 4 leagues, total number of national teams is 35, leagues A and B have 10 teams each, league C 8 teams and league D has 7 teams.

League A

Sweden, Netherlands, Croatia, Belgium, United Kingdom, Austria, Finland, Switzerland, South Africa and Ireland

The 15th PGETC almost finished, relegation matches on June 10

The online part of 15th season of PGETC is almost over. Four best teams of league A – Ukraine, France, Czechia, Poland – will fight for the medals face to face at Finals held in Warsaw, 28-29 July.

The relegation matches held online on June 10 will decide which teams will keep their league or drop down or advance to higher league. Team consists of 5 players to avoid a draw.

League A-B : Germany – Netherlands
League B-C : Serbia – Ireland
League C-D : Kazakhstan – Portugal

The 15th Pandanet Go European Team Championship Opening

The 15th Pandanet Go European Team Championship season 2024-2025 is opening and the teams will be collected by the deadline 1st October 2024.

The first round of all leagues A, B, C and D will be on Tuesday, 15th October.

France, Ukraine, Czechia, Poland, Germany, Israel, Hungary, Romania, Sweden and Turkey

League B

Netherlands, Italy, Serbia, Belgium, Croatia, Austria, Finland, Lithuania, Switzerland and United Kingdom

Bulgaria remains excluded from the PGETC competition for the second year, based on the EGF Board Decision concerning the cheating incidents.

France wins the 14th Pandanet Go European Team Championship

The last round win for French team guaranteed the European Team Champion title for France, the host country of this year’s finals and the European Go Congress.

France won all matches and was the clear winner. Ukraine was the second and Czechia the third. Poland will surely try harder next time.

This 14th PGETC face-off was the first event in the European Go Congress 2024 in Toulouse, France. The prize giving takes place within the EGC Opening Ceremonies.

14th Pandanet Go European Team Championship Finals

Ukraine, France, Poland and Czechia will play for the Team Championship on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th July. This is a round-robin tournament, 3 rounds for 4 teams.

This 14th PGETC face-off will be the first event in the European Go Congress 2024 in Toulouse, France.

The 14th Pandanet Go European Team Championship season 2023-2024 is opening and the teams will be collected by the deadline 3rd October.

Ukraine wins the 13th Pandanet Go European Team Championship

Ukrainian team (Artem Kachanoskyi 2p, Andrii Kravets 1p, Valerii Krushelnytskyi 6d, Bohdan Zhurakovskyi 6d and Dmytro Bohatskyi 6d) won the PGETC Finals in July 2023. This is the second championship in a row for Ukraine.

After the exciting last round, Czechia was the second, France 3rd and Israel 4th.

PGETC Finals in EGC 2023 Markkleeberg

The 13th Pandanet Go European Team Championship Finals between the four best teams in League A will be played on Friday and Saturday 21st and 22nd July 2023. These games are placed on the European Go Congress 2023 site Rudolf-Hildebrand-Schule in Markkleeberg, Germany.

European Team Championship to exclude Russia

The Pandanet Go European Team Championship has excluded Russia from
the current League A, following the decision of the EGF (EGF announcement)

The team and the match results are deleted from the tournament table
and the League A will be played with 9 teams in the coming rounds.

As the League A will be finished with nine teams, the rules for
demotion and promotion of teams are modified for the end of the 12th
season:

League A 9th place team will play a play-off with League B 2nd place
team. League B 1st place team is promoted directly.

League B 10th place team will be demoted to League C, the 9th place
team will avoid demotion.

League C top 2 teams will be promoted to the League B.

League C 8th place team will be demoted to League D, the 7th place
team will avoid demotion.

League D top 2 teams will be promoted to League C.
